The accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial reports, analyzing financial data, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations. Job Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and general ledgers.
  2. Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to provide insights into the organization's financial performance.
  3. Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial plans to guide the organization's financial decisions.
  4. Accounts Payable: Manage accounts payable processes, including processing invoices, issuing payments, and reconciling accounts payable transactions.
  5. Accounts Receivable: Manage accounts receivable processes, including invoicing clients, tracking payments, and following up on overdue accounts.
  6. Payroll Processing: Process payroll, including calculating wages, taxes, and deductions, and ensuring timely payment to employees.
  7. Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations by preparing and filing tax returns, as well as assisting with tax planning strategies.
  8. Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits by providing supporting documentation, reconciling accounts, and addressing audit inquiries.
  9. Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement in financial performance.
  10. Financial Planning and Strategy: Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making by management.

Qualifications and Skills:

  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. CPA (Certified Public Accountant) designation preferred.
  2. Experience: Previous experience in accounting or finance roles, with knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
  3. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret financial data and provide insights.
  4. Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial records and reports.
  5. Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle, as well as Microsoft Excel.
  6. Communication Skills: Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to communicate financial information clearly and concisely.
  7. Time Management: Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
